Storyboard Text

  • Stanley Yelnats is a boy with terrible luck due to a curse set on his great-great-grandfather. He is caught for a crime he didn't do, and sent to a juvenile camp called Camp Green Lake.
  • At Camp Green Lake, the inmates are forced to dig one hole a day, six feet deep, and six feet in diameter. After finding a bullet casing, he realizes that the warden is looking for something important, and links it to the story of his great-great-grandfather's hidden treasure
  • While other inmates hated digging, Stanley persevered, and even made a friend, Hector. They learned from each other, and became good friends. After Hector ran away, Stanley decided to go after him, and head towards a giant, thumb-shaped mountain.
  • Where can he be? I just have to keep walking. I'll find him.
  • Stanley finds Hector. They walked and walked towards the mountain, and after a long, exhausting climb, they make it up the mountain, and find a river, and even better, onions.
  • Hector! There is water here, and onions! We're saved!
  • I can't believe we made it
  • After seemingly reversing his family's curse, Stanley decided to dig one last hole, to try and find what the warden was really looking for.
  • No way!
  • It's the treasure! And it has my name on it!
  • After Stanley found the treasure, his father and mother found glorious luck, and the family threw a party for all of the inmates after the warden was arrested for keeping them too long.
  • Thank you so much Stanley, you are a life saver!
  • I couldn't have done it without you!
