Act lll

Storyboard Text

  • In Scene l, there was a simile where Mercutio was explaining why Benvolio's head was like an egg full of yolk. Then, Tybalt comes in and asked about Romeo's whereabouts.
  • You egghead.
  • I am?
  • Yo! Where's that villain Romeo?
  • An irony in Scene 1 was when Tybalt kills Mercutio instead of Romeo. Romeo kills Tybalt in return and Prince banished him for his sins.
  • Luck turns against me.
  • Mercutio is dead!
  • Monologue in Scene 2 was when Juliet was confessing her feelings and thoughts to Nurse and was crying due to the fact that Romeo is banished from Verona. But, she was glad that Romeo survived.
  • Romeo is banished and Tybalt is dead?
  • Yes.
  • In Scene 5, Romeo decided to see Juliet one more time before he leaves for Mantua. While Romeo was about to descend the rope ladder, Juliet describes him as someone who is pale and looks dead in the bottom of a tomb. This is a foreshadow because it's a hint for what will occur in the future.
  • Don't leave.
  • I must, my love. Or else, I'll die.
  • In Scene 5, there was a foil when Lady Capulet was planning on how to kill Romeo and Juliet just agrees with her on the topic. But in reality, Juliet opposes it. After that, Lady Capulet told Juliet that she will be having a wedding on Thursday with Paris and Juliet refuses so her parents called her a disappointment.
  • I refuse the marriage.
  • You're a disgrace!
  • In Scene 5, Nurse was on the side of marriage with Paris. So, Juliet escapes her home due to her parents and the nurse going against her. She decided to go to Friar and asked for help. According to Juliet, if anything goes wrong, she will take her own life. This is a foreshadow because it's also a hint that something will occur in the future.
  • I will seek Friar for help. If everything goes wrong, I shall take my own life.
