  • We learned about this in Sports Medicine class!
  • Well it seems as though you have Impetigo which is a highly contagious skin infection that causes a rash on the face.
  • 95% of hospital consultant episodes for impetigo required emergency hospital admission in England 2002-03 (Hospital Episode Statistics, Department of Health, England, 2002-03) http://www.rightdiagnosis.com/i/impetigo/stats.htm
  • Friday
  • I'm just going to stay home for a couple of days so no one else gets this.
  • Impetigo is contracted through skin to skin contact. To prevent transmission take proper precaution such as washing hands more than often and being careful of who you touch.
  • Me too!
  • Impetigo, one of the most common skin infections among kids, usually produces blisters or sores on the face, neck, hands, and diaper area.
  • This all started with me!
  • Impetigo stops being contagious after 24-48 hours after starting antibiotics.
  • Don't forget to take your antibiotics!
