This soldier helped out the Americans and Mexicans that were fighting in World War two to survive and have freedom for their community.
In this picture it represents where people had come as one to fight and protest to be equal and get treated fairly as one for each other.
People slept here for safety, so they can have a shelter and stay warm so that when the soldiers come to fight or turn them down the Americans can be prepared for the war.
Soldier Mk had fought more than the people who were in the war or had to like almost gave his life up. In the 1800's houses got torn down, people got shot, blacks had got beaten, and so much more.
Men came here for food, protect them selves,and able to do what they can so that as this soldier came to rescue those who were in danger had survived and not worry about getting killed or houses being destroyed.
