Russia didn't have enough food to feed it's army, let alone it's people
Russia's army was poorly led, and didn't have the proper supplies to fight in WWI.
Strikes started happening in Petrograd, and the Duma demanded reforms, so the czar tried to dissolve the Duma. With the army on it's side, the Duma refused to disband, and th Czar stepped down.
A provisional government was set up to govern Russia until a council could be elected under a new constitution.
The Soviet Party was created when unrest had settled over Russia. They were socialists who thought you needed political equality to have economic equality.
Peace and land reforms
Bolsheviks were revolutionary socialists. There slogan appealed to war-weary & hungry Russian people.
