Gravity With Isaac Newton
How do physical objects move? Isaac claims all physical objects had a force of attraction between them. The strength of the force depended on the masses of the objects and distance between them.
That was his law of gravity in a simple formula. Here is the scientific method used after the Scientific Revolution.
1. State a question or problem 2. Form a hypothesis 3. Conduct an experiment to test the hypothesis 4. Make careful observations and collect data 5. Analyze the data to see if the hypothesis is correct
Newton is proving this method because when he wondered if the same force that pulls and apple to the ground is the same force that tugs on the moon, he realized even if the moon is farther, the force there is weaker, and strong enough to bend the moons motion into a circular path around earth.
His laws provided a physical explanation for his discoveries. His laws changed the way people looked at gravity.
