shays' rebellion is a rebellion against the government because of taxes
shays' rebellion is a revolt of farmers in 3 western counties began a revolt bands of angry citizens closed down courts in western Massachusetts there reasoning was simple with the courts shut down no one's property could be taken
this all happened in August 1786 in western counties including western Massachusetts
this all happened because government made taxes more money and it was really hard for farmers to pay them
