I play for george mason soccer team. I’m on the jv team because I am in 8th grade. Our team is really good in a way.
The players who start (including me) are really good but when our subs come in, which is rare we do a lot worse. Sometimes our subs do ok but usually they make our team worse and just drag us down at practice.
So one day we were playing a team that was not very good. Our coaches told us that they were really bad and that we should have no trouble beating them.
I think that the starters of our team got ahead of ourselves and we were getting selfish. Each of us wanted our own goal so we weren’t playing as a team.
With about 15 minutes left the coach put in our subs and they ended up scoring 3 goals. The lesson is never judge a book by its cover.
