Storyboard Text

  • Welcome to the TimeTraveler Show. Today we will be traveling to Ancient India.
  • I'll need your guy's help. When I open my vase, we will all say, "Whoosh." And then we'll be able to travel.
  • "WHOOSH!"
  • As they all said this they felt a sudden breeze, and POOF! They were there, well in Ancient India.
  • Let's talk about Hinduism. Hinduism is the 3rd largest religion in India. Whenever the people had religious ideas, they would write it in sanskrit.
  • "Nice!"
  •
  • There was once a man named Brahman, he was the supreme god of Ancient India. He told everyone that you had an inner self named Atman.
  • "Whoa!"
  • As soon as he opened the vase, smoke filled the room as they all said...
  • Reincarnation was a big part of Atman. Karma would dictate where you would go. It put you in a higher cast if you did good deeds, but it put you in a lower cast if you did bad deeds.
  • They looked around in sudden disbelief, as the instuctor began explaining more about Ancient India.
  • Hindus where born wanting only 4 things. Pleasure, Success, Dharma, And Moksha.
  • Pleasure meant they wanted things like eating, or falling in  love. Success meant they wanted wealth or power. It also meant communication between one another.
  • He then began explaining about reincarnation.
  • When the instructor was finished with his presentation, he gave the people souvenirs, and they left with happy memories from the time they'll never forget.
  • "Cool!"
  • A cast is kinda like the social structure that we are in today, only there was more to their casts then you think. Ancient India has 5 classes. Brahmins, Khatriyas, Vaishyas, Sudras, and later created, the untouchables.
  • "What's a cast?"
  • Dharma menat they wanted to live an ethical life. And lastly, Moksha meant they wanted to be realesed from life, meaning they wanted to either die or find thier nirvana.
  • The vases you see, have the same magic that my vase does. You need at least five people to travel. Say different words, travel different places. Thank you and come again soon.
  • Dont forget to grab your vases and pictures on the way out!!
