  • The Sky is Falling - This comes from the story called Chicken Little. In the story, Chicken Little thinks the sky is falling and it is really only an acorn.

  • She is freaking out because there is a pop quiz and she is not prepared. When she says her life is over the boy tells her to not act like the sky is falling.
  • Example
  • Someone who says "The Sky is Falling!" is often said to be exaggerating or overreacting. The boys gets annoyed with girl because she acts like her life is over and in reality, it is just a quiz. 
  • Explanation
  • This place is amazing! It's like a garden of Eden!
  • The Garden of Eden- This comes from a story from the book of Genesis in the Bible. In this story the garden of Eden is a place of paradise. It is a gift for the first man- Adam.  But he then disrespects this place by eating from the tree of knowledge when he knows he shouldn't.
  • Edmund eats the Turkish delights which turn out to be unfavorably enchanted, because he wants to rule Narnia, a beautiful Garden of Eden.
  • This sentence shows how Narnia is like a Garden of Eden because both are places you'd love to live.
