  • You proud Trojans, wide-renowned allies, friends, be men, summon up your fighting strength, while I go to Troy in person, to instruct the old men of the council and to our wives to pray to th gods and promise sacrifice.
  • Part 3
  • Place the garments upon her lap and offer twelve yearling heifers.
  • The War between the Trojans and Achaeans wages on between the Simoeis and Xanthas rivers. Both sides fight fiercely, good men are lost on both sides. 
  • Part 4
  • Hector issues orders to the Trojans, encouraging them to continue fighting while he goes back to Troy to instruct the old council and women. 
  • Part 5
  • I am grieving but let me grab my armor and let us return to battle. 
  • Hector instructs the women to offer a sacrifice of the finest garment and twelve heifers untounch by any goad as a temple sacrifice to Athena.
  • Part 6
  • You are all I have left.
  • The women go to the temple with their offerings and prayers for Athena, but she refuses them. 
  • Fair Athena, please have pity and show mercy upon the city of Troy we will sacrifice 12 heifers to show our gratitude.
  • Eh, nah.
  • Hector goes to the house and Alexander and Helen. He's upset that Alexander hasn't yet joined the battle. After talking he goes to find his wife.
  • How can you sit here while the others fight?
  • Hector finds his wife with his son and a servant at Illion's tower. Hectors wife begs him not to return to the battle and make her a widow, but Hector has a duty to Troy and returns to the battle.
  • I'm sorry but I must go.
