  • Rising Action
  • I am sorry mam, but you have cancer.
  • Rising Action
  • Welcome, Welcome!
  • In first grade I had my first "boyfriend" or at least at that age what I thought was a boyfriend. His name is Kwaku and he loved me. I would always tell my mom about how much I loved Kwaku. After the end of first grade Kwaku left my school and I have never seen him again.
  • Climax
  • In 2012 my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It was heartbreaking to hear. All her hair fell out and she wore a dreadful wig or a sweat rag. As a family we tried to make lemonade out of lemons so we held many family gatherings. In 2013 she overcame her cancer and is doing well ever since.
  • Falling Actions
  • This is so fun!
  • Me and my friend Dae were the emcees of my fifth grade graduation. It was a magical experience and we were all having a great time. Both my grandmother and grandfather were there with me. It was a bittersweet day, but overall it was fun.
  • Resolution
  • You know, you're right Ms. Maye! So are you Ms.Piondexter
  • It was my very first day of middle school. My heart was in my throat and I was about ready to be sick. My backpack felt like it was made of bricks it was so heavy! All of my friends had left my school and I was ready to make new ones.
  • Oh I am so nervous!
  • As I started to get acquainted with 6th grade, it got easier. I got my locker and was getting quite good at it. The only thing I wasn't getting good at was math. I am in 6th and 7th grade math compacted and it is hard.
  • Here I am now sitting in the library working on the storyboard of my life. About all resolutions have been settled and I am about to finish my the first quarter of the school year.
