Storyboard Text

  • Hello! I am Alexander Hamilton, Secretary of the Treasury.
  • And I am Thomas Jefferson the Secretary of State.
  • We have VERY different opinions.
  • A strong federal government is very important. It needs to have the power to make economic decisions. That way our country will be united!
  • The Constitution was made to be interpreted loosely. We can't be expected to follow it exactly. I need to bend the rules sometimes to help the country with finances.
  • Manufacturing is the most important thing in our economy. It creates an outlet for inventors, jobs, and a market for products.
  • The US should be allies with France. They also fought for freedom from the monarchy and helped us during the war. They'll be good trade partners.
  • Despite our differences, we both agree that the US should generally stay out of foreign affairs.
