Hello! I am Alexander Hamilton, Secretary of the Treasury.
And I am Thomas Jefferson the Secretary of State.
We have VERY different opinions.
A strong federal government is very important. It needs to have the power to make economic decisions. That way our country will be united!
The Constitution was made to be interpreted loosely. We can't be expected to follow it exactly. I need to bend the rules sometimes to help the country with finances.
Manufacturing is the most important thing in our economy. It creates an outlet for inventors, jobs, and a market for products.
The US should be allies with France. They also fought for freedom from the monarchy and helped us during the war. They'll be good trade partners.
Despite our differences, we both agree that the US should generally stay out of foreign affairs.
