She was born on December 25, 1821 She never married or had kids because she was to busy helping in wars as a nurse like in the battle of Antietam she was welcomed to help
she was one of the first ladys to volunteer at the washngton Infirmary to care for wounded soldiers in the war. she distributed medicine and other supplies to troops. on March 11,1865 she was appointed by Abe Lincoln to search for missing soldiers of war.
I was the founder of the red cross and a nurse in the American civil war. I was an american nurse and humanitarian. I am best remebered for organizing the american red cross.
when she was 8 years old a phrenologist predicted that she would be a good person and helping people. he later on said she should be a teacher to overcome my shyness.
