Why the moon didn't fly off into space even though it was in motion? Newton wondered what kept the moon in orbit. Then he saw an apple falling from a tree and wondered if the same force was tugging onto the moon.
If a force can make an apple fall from a tree then that same force holds the moon from flying out into space.
Newton experimented with a formula. F=Gm1m2/r^2 or g=GM/r^2
Newton recoreded and collected his data by writing a book called the Principia in 1687 which presented the law of gravity.
Newton established the three laws of motion to see if his hypothesis is correct.
Newtons discoveries changed the world today because now scientists and people know about gravity and how it works
