I wonder why the moon doesn't fly off into space? wait, why did that apple fall off the tree? Is the same force that pulled the apple pulling the moon?
Since the moon is too far away, the force should be weaker there, it is just strong enough to bend the moon's motion.
I should test how long it takes to fall.
The apple fell in about 2 seconds. That is pretty fast.
Since the apple fell in 2 seconds, the force here on Earth is stronger. So then the force up in space must be weaker.
