Today for class, we are going to learn about junk food. Junk food is all around us and most people eat it. The thing is, junk food can be even deadly in some cases.
First things first, one of the leading causes of heart disease is junk food.
Obesity started to rise in from junkfood in the mid 80's, because that was that was when junk food became more noticed and store sold.
The problem is, one out of three children in the U.S. obese. These rates have sky rocketed in the past few years.
Another problem is, most people don't know what they are putting into their bodies. For example, lunchables are made of cheap fatty, processed meat. The creator of them doesn't even feed his children lunchables.
The scientists that make junk food purposely make it addictive so that people will buy more of it. Here is what a scientist thinks while making junk food.
Haha! I will make a junk food so addictive and tricky, the people will have to buy it. The more addictive it is, the more money I will get, everyone will want it.
The people that make these foods purposely make it bad. They don't care about you, all they want is money.
If you knew what was in junk food, you wouldn't eat it. Some junk food has hair in it, sawdust, and even crushed insects.
Im not saying you should stop eating junk food forever, but you should eat only a little of it every so often, not everyday.
This is a little bit about junk food and what it is. I hope you found this information useful.
