Storyboard Text

  • “Drawing, sculpting, things like that.”
  • “An art class?”
  • “You always tell such sad stories."
  • Mrs. English's Story Class
  • “Mrs. English, is it okay to ask what Mr. Wilson—um—did in Vietnam?”
  • Drama Club
  • Poetry Contest
  • Summer Art Class
  • Mrs. English's Office
  • “He told me he was a helicopter pilot.”
  • This is when our two main characters, Zebra and Mr. Wilson, meet for the first time. Zebra has curly, brown hair and a hat that sits backward on him. John Wilson differs because his hat sits in front, and he has baggy clothing, and a bag to carry things in.
  • Here, we see Zebra reading his "gloomy" story. Andrea is in this scene with Mrs. English. Andrea has a medium length of orange hair. We also see Mrs. English, a teacher that is in the story.
  • This is when Zebra signed up for the Summer Art Class and asks Mrs. English about John Wilson. Zebra sees something that reminds him of Mr. Wilson and asks Mrs. English. This is also the last day of school.
