- Peter!
- The Franks' and the Van Daans'go in to hiding at the Secret Annex. To survive, they have to be quiet uring normal work hours. Miep and Mr. Kraler supply them with food
- CLIMAX
- Open up imediately. Schnell! Schnell!
- An eight member joins, Mr. Dussel. He and Anne have to share a room anddon't get along. Tension in in the air among all until Anne gives everyone gifts for Hanukah
- FALLING ACTION
- Be calm everyone we will be okay

- During a robbery downstairs, Peter drops a lamp and they fear the robber hears. Mr. Van Daan is caught stealing food in the night. Anne and Peter share their first kiss
- RESOLUTION
- It's all my fault I never should have hid in this Annex with my family the Van Daan's and Dussel. Now they're dead
- 15 months later
- Cheer up Mr. Frank,It's not your fault.
- The occupants' fear of being discovered becomes a reality.After hiding for 2 years the Nazis break down the hidden door and order them to pack 1 bag each.
- Mr. Frank tries to encourage everyone to be calm and brave. He says,"For the past two years we have lived in fear. Now we can live in hope."
- After being shipped off to various concetration camps, Mr. Frank is the only survivor. He returns to the Secret Annex fiffteen months later and Miep gives him Anne's diary
