Latin ~ Caecilius and Metella
This storyboard does not have a description.
Caecilius was usually up at dawn but his servants were up before him doing all the housework.
Metella was responsible for the management of the household. To do this she has to be well organised and firm but sensitive in her control. She would have to supervise the domestic slaves. She would also have to supervise preparations for social gatherings and help her husband entertain guests. Metella would meet with her friends, go to the shops and attend public events like most married women would do.
The first thing of the day was that Caecilius would get his respects from his previous slaves and poorer people.
Caecilius would go to the market place and would trade and bank for the rest of his morning.
Lunch was served at around midday. Lunch was a light meal, it would usually be something like fish or fruit.
