The crust is the least dense. The continental crust can range from 5-25 thick and is generally composed of granite, quartz, and feldspar. The oceanic crust can be 2-3 miles thick and made up of basalt and magnesium. Can be 100-800 degrees the closer it gets to the mantle.
The mantle is the thickest layer made out of molten rock or magma. it is 1800 miles thick and is 1500-4000 degrees and is about 1,800 miles thick.
The inner core is a solid ball of iron and nickle. it can reach from 9000-13,000 degrees. The thickness of the inner core is believed to be 800 miles
The outer core is a ball of very hot molten metals made up mostly iron and nickle and the density is very high. It is approximately 1400 miles thick and is 8000-11000 in temperature.
There are four different layers of earth, the four layers also have other parts of them called the mechanical layers.
The lithosphere is the outermost solid layer made up of crust and stiff mantle. The lithosphere is about 200 miles thick. It is thicker by the continents and thinner in the ocean.
