  • The Monroe Doctrine was written by James Monroe. Monroe declared that no European Countries should go near the Western Hemisphere. 
  • My name is James Monroe. I was the president in 1817-1825. I created the Monroe Doctrine.
  • Colonists! What are you doing here? You said that no one would come in our territory, and here you are.
  • The Monroe Doctrine effected the trust between the colonists and the Indians. No European Countries interfered with the Western Hemisphere, but other colonists did. 
  • The Monroe Doctrine caused European Countries (like Great Britain), to not interfere with the Western Hemisphere.
  • America says to not take over the Western Hemisphere.
  • OK.
