Hey, I'm El and I'm going to explain the different ways in which I think the Springlake Radio news bulletin attracted and adressed the audience. Hurry along, we've got a lot to talk about!
Did you hear about the dead body found in the van at ASDA? So scary! It was found just outside here! Anyway, this story attracts people from Springlake to listen to the bulletin because it is somewhere that they know and go regularly.
They are familiar with the place so can relate to the story. Also, when the subordinate questionnaire took place, results showed that people in the target audience want to hear crime stories.
Here we are outside the White House, USA. Told you that we had a lot to cover! By talking about the political situation in America on Springlake Radio, we are reporting on a type of news story that people in the target audience want to hear.
It will also educate the residents of Springlake in politics so they don't vote in someone like Donald Trump. Quick, lets get out of here!
By including a vox pop in the news bulletin, it let the listeners of Springlake Radio know that their views and opinions are valued within the community. By using people from the target audience in the vox pop, it makes the views that are being put across more likely to be relatable.
Here we are at Springlake Meadows, where the Big Weekend is going to take place! Although this is not the exact place that the vox pop happened, that is what we're talking about!
This is Springlake Arena, where KCKC will be holding their concert for NSPCC! By discussing a pop duo in the news bulletin it fits in with the other interests listeners of Springlake Radio may have.
Other interests that I mentioned on the audience profile page include contemporary issues, and pop and celebrity cultures.
That's it from me! One last thought as well, I think that the backing music definitely attracts listeners as it's so upbeat and uplifting. That was also voted for in the subordinate questionnaire
I'll be off now! Peace n Love!
