Finish this board story.
Hi we are going to talk about types of different types of rocks. There are four type of rock. let's start with sedimentary. Sedimentary is a type of rock. Sedimentary is pressed together (pressure) to of sedimentary rocks. Sedimentary rocks doesn't just stay the same it gets compaction
You might say, "Hey how can sedimentary change to a different rock". Well sedimentary rocks can change by heat and pressure. before we go to a new type of rock. Let me tell you a fact about sedimentary. Did you know there are rocks, minerals, small pieces of plants, and some other organic matter.
After the sedimentary has change, it changes into a metamorphic rock. A metamorphic is rock is the 5th layer of earth. The reason why they call it metamorphic rock because, metamorphic rock changes fast. Well not that fast but it can change same as the sedimentary rock. It can change by the weather and erosion. After that it changes to sediment. you might say" Hey sediment is the first rock". yes it is, and reason why because it starts all over. sediment changes tom sedimentary. it changes by compaction & cemetation, after that it finally changes to sedimentary. Fun fact about metamorphic is that, metamorphic gets heat up an turns into a plate
And you also might say,"Hey isn't there one more". Yes, yes there is the last one is Igneous. Igneous is a lava but it has been cooled down. What I mean cooled down is that Igneous is used to be magma which is the bottom of the volcano. Some of the magma gets out of the volcano while some other magma gets cooled off. But it doesn't stay the same thing, it's like the other rocks it doesn't stay the same thing. Igneous changes by, weather and erosion. After that it changes into sediment, same as the Metamorphic. Fun fact about the Igneous,
