  • Act 1, Scene 1
  • When the hurly-burly's done, when the battles lost and won.
  • Act 1, Scene 7
  • I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition which o'er leaps itself and falls on th'other
  • But screw your courage to the sticking place.
  • Act 2, Scene 2 
  • (realises Macbeth is acting guilty so she pretends to faint) Help!
  • Why is Macbeth acting so strange?
  • I am afraid to think of what I have done,
  •  The three witches meet with Macbeth and Banquo on a heath where they tell Macbeth that he will be given the title Thane of Cawdor.
  • Act 3, Scene 1
  • At first Macbeth decides against killing Duncan because he knows Duncan is a good man. Lady Macbeth manages to change his mind and he agrees to murder him. 
  • Act 3, Scene 4 
  • Macbeth has killed Duncan and he is overcome with guilt. Lady Macbeth frames the Guards who were looking after Duncan.
  • Act 3, Scene 5
  • Macbeth plans to get two murderers to kill Banquo and his sons so that they don't take his place as king.
  • Macbeth is holding a feast and the ghost of Banquo comes but only Macbeth can see him and he is terrified by it.
  • Hecate is annoyed that the witches spoke to Macbeth without her, she is going to cast a spell to destroy macbeth.
