Benjamin Banneker by Angelina Caselli
Benjamin Banneker was born on November 9, 1731 in Baltimore County Maryland, on his family's farm. After helping survey the land for the U.S. capitol, he began writing ephemerides for almanacs.
The colour of the skin is in no way connected with strength of the mind or intellectual powers.
Benjamin is renowned for his vast knowledge of all things astronomical, especially lunar and solar eclipses. His work was published in almanacs from 1792 until 1797.
Although his work is not as important today as when it first came out, without Benjamin Banneker's work in astrology our America might have been much, much different. Benjamin helped people from the past, and in turn, helped the present. He helped advance our knowledge of astrological phenomenons and the solar and lunar cycles.
