Once upon a time, there was a Trojan prince named Aeneas. He was the son of Aphrodite and Anchises.
During the Trojan War, he was the leader of Troy’s Dardanians who fought against the Greeks. He played an extremely important role in defending the city and is considered one of the very few Trojans to survive the war.
After the destruction of Troy by the Greeks, Aeneas was told by the Gods to flee the war. He gathered a group of survivors to take with him in search of a better life in Italy.
Many storms prolong the journey; however, Aeneas continues on as he is reminded of his duty to find a new city. Once in Italy, a war breaks out between the allies in Italy and the Trojans.
Pallas, the son of King Evander, is entrusted into Aeneas’ care during the fighting. During a battle, Pallas is killed by Turnus, one of the leaders fighting against the Trojans.
The war is finally ended when Aeneas slays Turnus in an act of revenge for killing Pallas. With the ending of the war, Aeneas settled in the region where Rome would later be built by his descendants.
