Storyboard Text

  • Mrs. Austin
  • Do you know anything about the digestive system?
  • Well, then I'm here to tell you!
  • No, not really.
  • The digestive system is a group of organs working together to convert food into energy and basic nutrients to feed the entire body.
  • Oh that's fascinating, but where does it all start?
  • Good question. There are hollow organs and solid organs, but we will focus on the hollow organs. First, it starts out in the mouth, and then the esophagus.
  • Why certainly.
  • Can you tell me what's next?
  • Mr. Hyatt
  • Next, it heads to the stomach, then the small intestine, and then the large intestine.
  • That's so cool! Are there any organs left?
  • What is the capital of the United States of America?
  • Mr. Coppelli
  • Yes, there are 2 left! Those 2 are your rectum, and your anus.
  • Oh, of course! How else would you get the food out? Haha
  • What is the definition of a cell?
  • Well, I guess that concludes our lesson on the digestive system.
  • Well, I'm glad I could help!
  • Thanks so much for the lesson! It helped me learn so much about the digestive system!
