Daisy at her house in Louisville
Daisy and jordan at home
Tom and Myrtles apartment
In this picture the color white is being symbolized as pure and innocent. Daisy is being described as an innocent girl who was just "eighteen dressed in white and with her little white roadster"(fitzgerlad 74).
In this picture white is being dicribed as empty. Even though Jordan and Daisy were empty, they were still being praised. They would be praised with money and materialized things as they "lay upon an enormous couch, like silver idols weighing down their own white dresses"(Fitzgerald 115).
In this picture the color white is also being symbolized as empty because Tom is empty of love and only has Myrtle as a status symbol and Myrtle only has Tom for the money. When Tom and Myrtle visited each other they would go to an apartment "at 158th street, a long white cake of apartment houses'' (Fitzgerald 28).
