  • Langston wanted to go play with the boys but his grandmother said no because of what happened yesterday... another group of boys threw rocks at Langston.
  • No my dear.
  • My I play with them???
  • 7th grade is really hard for Langston his grandmother past away and since his mom and dad left him at a young age he misses his grandmother and mom.Langston is upset because there is a town carnival that he can not go because of his race.
  • Sorry Langston you can't go because you know... your race.
  • Hey we can go to this carnival.
  • A couple months later Langston's mom calls him and wants Langston to go to Claveland, Ohio.Langston is very happy, later on his mom wants Langston to move with her to Chicago...but Langson wants to stay there to be a poet when him mother tells him being a poet will get his no where.
  • Poet???
  • Langston goes to Columbia for his dad so he can be even closer to Harlem. He wants to go to Harlem so he can be in the Harlem Renaissances.
  • Langston slipped some of his poems underneth Mr.Linsday's dinner plate hoping he will look over them.
  • Turns out Mr.Linsday wrote about Langston and now Langson is starting to realize his dreams.
