Amontillado you say?
My dear friend, I have found a bottle of Amontillado!
To the cellar!
In the beginning Montresor, a conoseur, tells the reader he wants to seek revenge on Fortunato. Durring a festavile, he lures Fortunato, who is dressed like a fool, by teling him he has found a grand wine.
To the Amontillado!
Fortunato, who is also a conoseur, agrees to go with him to his wine cellar to taste the grand wine, Amontillado.
The Amontillado is in that corner!
Montresor then leads Fortunato down into the vaults, where he says the catacombs for the deseased family memebers also are.
As they continue on their way, Fortunato seems to be ill and starts coughing. Montresor offers to go back. However Fortunato refuses and drinks some Medoc.
As they end their journey,Montresor claims the Amontillado is in a corner and he becons the drunk Fortunato to go and get it. It is then that he chains him to a wall.
After this, Montresor builds a wall in front of Fortunato. After a while, Fortunato somewhat understands what is happening and thinks it is a joke. In the end Montresor leaves him there to die stating "In pace requiecat!" or rest in peace.
