After a long day of herding my sheep, I was strolling back to my cave. The walk back to my cave was long so I took it slow. I couldn't wait to get back to my cave and rest.
When I walked into my cave, I heard heavy breathing around the corner. I turned to my right and was surprised to see unexpected intruders! They seemed hospitable, so I did not eat them yet, but I kept my eye on them. I was not afraid to eat them if I had to.
I was shocked when they offered me some of their finest wine. I tasted it and it was pleasing. They kept offering me more so I kept accepting it because it was so good. Then before I knew it, I was out of it.
I AM ODYSSEUS!!!
Suddenly, I woke up to an excruciating pain in my eye. These men who I thought were my friends had stabbed me, I cant believe it! I tried to attack them, ignoring the horrific pain, but I couldn't even see. Later that night, I locked those men into the corner of my cave with my sheep so they wouldn't escape.
The next morning, I let my sheep out to roam. I felt the back of every sheep to make sure those men didn't escape. After all the sheep were out, I went back to check on those men, and they weren't there! They somehow escaped.
I ran out to the shore to see if I could catch them. By the time I got there, they were already rowing away. One of the men yelled, "I am Odysseus son of Laertes." This brought me loads of guilt for I was defeated by such an idolized man.
