The First Wish
Morris the soldier comes and visits the small family and tells them of the monkey paw. Mr. Morris wants the monkey paw and keeps it for himself.
Mr. Morris make his first wish which is for wealth but he didn't think of the consequences. The consequence was loosing their only child but gaining 20 pounds in wealth.
With their second wish from the monkey paw they wish for their son back but Mr. Morris has learned from the first wish and uses the third wish to wish what was behind the door away.
