"Cyclops" is about how Odysseus and his men stumble across a cyclops' cave and decide to go see it. Odyesseus tries to talk to the monster but he ends up getting him and his crew trapped inside the cave. They come up with a plan to blind the cyclops with a stick and succeed but Odysseus was caught in his own pride and told the cyclops his name. After hearing this the cyclops prays to his father Poseidon that it takes Odysseus a long time to get back to his home. Poseidon curses the crew and it takes them ten years to get home.
Odysseus and part of his crew go to the mainland to go see the cyclops.
"The cyclops isn't here lets take his cheese and sheep on the ship and go!"
"No, I want to see the cyclops."
The cyclops does not want to help Odysseus so he traps the men in the cave so he could eat them.
Odysseus and the remaining men create a large stick to stab the cyclops and blind him.
The men manage to escape but out of arrogance and pride Odysseus shouts to the cyclops his name.
The cyclops prays to his father Poseidon that Odysseus is cursed to take a long time to get home, which causes Odysseus to take ten years to find his home.
