The Friar thinks of a plan and assures Romeo that everything will be fine and it will work. Juliet is to be given a heavy sleeping pill so that it seems like she has died, but once Romeo gets back she will have awoken and they will be able to be married.
Juliet has been given the sleeping pill... only everyone believes she has died.... including Romeo, who the Friar has forgotten to inform about the plan.
Romeo, after being informed that Juliet has died, runs to the Capulet house to see his Juliet once more.
Seeing Juliet's lifeless body on the bed, Romeo is so distraught he decides that he could not possibly live without the love of his life, and proceeds to drink a vile of poison.
Once Juliet finally rose from her slumber, she saw first Romeo's dead body beside her bed. Juliet ripped with grief reached for the nearest weapon and took her own life so she could be with her love in heaven.
With the sight of their own children dead, the two families decided to end the feud so no more damage could be done.
