Romeo And Juliet in Vietnam

Who is that? He’s beautiful.
Can I love my enemy?
Good morning Chaplain. Last night, I met the most charming man, but he is one of those wretched Viet Cong soldiers. Regardless, I need to marry him.
In this scene, Buiyo and Violet first meet. Buiyo runs to an American camp to bomb them because they are his enemies. Instead of attacking, he sees Violet the nurse and falls in love. This scene illustrates love at first sight between enemies.
In this scene, Violet meets Chaplain Morgan, her father-figure, to confess her love for Buiyo. Violet confesses her love for Buiyo to her trusted advisor and friend. Similar to the story, the priest marries them and causes their death. However, Violet triggers the marriage. We chose to do this to twist the outcome of the story.
At the end of the story, Buiyo, Violet, Dao, Buiyo's companion, and Allison, Violet's sister-like friend, die. While Dao and Allison mourn over Buiyo's and Allison's bodies, a Viet Cong soldier springs by and throws a grenade at them because he thinks they are Americans. As a result, all of their bodies explode. Since this is a parody, we wanted to have a comical and unexpected ending.
