  • Siddhartha gave up his royalty to go live in the forest as a ascetic. In the forest he wore simple clothing and had bare feet. In order for him to beg he carried a bowl.
  • Siddhartha decided that being an ascetic would not bring him enlightenment. So instead he decided to follow the Middle Way. While sitting under the Bodhi tree he achieved enlightenment through meditation. Then he became a Buddha the "Awakened One". He discovered that The Four Noble Truths are basis of Buddhism. India and Asia his teachings spread. Hindu is India's first and Buddhism is the second most practiced religion.
  • Buddhist believe that death lasts forever. They believe that suffering is caused by cravings.that you have to give up cravings to stop suffering. And the only way to give up all cravings is to live life according to Eight fold path.
