  • This is the exact place I bought that book. This is dangerous, I should not have come back here.
  • "The proprietor had just lighted a hanging oil lamp which gave off an unclean but freindley smell." (Orwell, 83)
  • Winston bought the coral and then Mr. Charrington showed him upstairs.
  • "It's a beautiful thing" (Orwell, 84). I'll take it.
  • This is coral, probably from the indian ocean.
  • "The thought flitted through Winston's mind that it would probably be quite easy to rent the room for a few dollars a week if he dared to take the risk" (Orwell, 85)

  • Winston had a good converstaion with Mr. Charrington, and then checked for poeple passing by before leaving the shop to return home.
