Old lady witch!
I ain't got anything for you-this ain't right.!
Lizabeth and some friends go to Miss Lottie's to throw rocks at her marigolds and taunt her, calling her and thinking of her as a witch.
That night as she lies in bed, Lizabeth hears her mother comforting her father who is sobbing and and is confused and upset about how their roles seem to have been reversed.
Early in the morning Lizabeth runs over to Miss Lottie's and without thinking starts pulling out her marigolds. After destroying them all, she sees Miss Lottie and feels compassion and responsibility for destroying her flowers.
