Washington is taking all of his boats/canoes to cross the river and attack the Hessians. The man is upset because that's how gets by with everything. Washington doesn't care and takes them anyways for his men.
General Washington is talknig to an older man, askinghim if he could use his house for their headquarters on the night they will have a sneak attack on the Hessians across the river. The older man is concerned and doesn't know if he agrees with General Washington but tells him that he can yse his house for headquarters.
All the soldiers the Dealware river to go and attack the Hessians. They are hurrying and trying to get over the river as quick and quietly as possible.
A few colonists went to the Hessians guardhouse and killed the guards in there. Some of them were sleeping but they killed all of them. After they killed the guards in the guardhouse, they went back to General Washington and reported what happened.
Every single one of the colonists and generals attacked the Hessians. The Hessians didn't expect at all. None of the colonists died. The Hessians leader/general tried to make their signature form but couldn't in time.
One of the colonists shot the general when he was on his horse. The Hessians surrendered right after that incident. The Hessians general died soon after. General Washington took all the remaining Hessians as prisoners.
