  • Prologue- Enemies, Love, Death
  • "Two households both alike indignity...A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life..."
  • Act 1 Scene 1- Capulets and Montagues
  • "Draw your swords, if you call yourselves men. Gregory remember your slashing stroke!"-Sampson
  • "Did you thumb your nose at us, sir?-Abraham
  • Act 1 Scene 2- Capulet Dinner "Invitation"
  • "Stay fellow, I can read" -Romeo
  • "God gi' good e'en; I pray, sir, can you read?" -Clown
  • The Chorus explains what will happen in the poem in which there are two enemies Montague's and Capulet's. Soon a pair of these enemies fall in live with each other.
  • Act 1 Scene 3- Marriage of Juliet
  • " A man, young lady! Lady, such a man As all the world- why, he's a man of wax." -Nurse
  • "Tell me, daughter Juliet, How stands your dispositions to be married?"-Lady Capulet
  • The Montague's and Capulet's fight in which they get in trouble. If they fight one more time in the streets, they will be charged with death.
  • Act 1 Scene 4- Romeo's Death Dream
  • "Come, knock and enter..." -Benvolio
  • "True, I talk of dreams, Which are the children of an idle brain, Begot of nothing but vain fantasy.." -Mercutio
  • The clown of Capulet runs into Romeo where he asks if he can read. Soon Romeo figures out Rosaline will be at the dinner where he ends up deciding to go.
  • Act 1 Scene 5-Romeo and Juliet "In love"
  • "Then move not, while my prayer's effect i take. Thus from my lip, by thine, my sin is purged." -Romeo
  • "Then have my lips the sin that they have took." -Juliet
  • In a Capulet room, Lady Capulet mentions marriage to her daughter Juliet. There is a man named Paris they want her to meet at the dinner. Juliet is only 13 and not a fan of marrying someone yet.
  • "It is an honour that I dream not of." -Juliet
  • Outside of the Capulet house, Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio determine on going inside. Romeo mentions that he had a dream about his death where they convince him its a fantasy. Then they enter.
  • "Of a despised life closed in my breast By some vile forfeit of untimely death.." -Romeo
  • Within the Capulet house, Tybalt recognizes Romeo in which he does not approve of him being there. Romeo then sees Juliet where they dance and kiss. Then they realize that one is a Capulet and one is a Montague.
  • " 'Tis he, that villain Romeo."
