Anne is growing up and writes to me often. She is happier and is in her second year of hiding. She still has scuffles with her mom, loves her dad the most, and misses her friends, boyfriends, school, and her life. She has learned that what is happening to her is called the holocaust and Hitler calls it the" Final Solution" to eliminate all Jews. This makes her extremely sad.
Anne is very happy. She has fallen in love with Peter Van Daan, and she feels life is getting better for her and her family. She is hopeful they will be able to come out of hiding soon. I really want to tell her not to get her hopes up too much though, but I can't.
The Frank's have been betrayed. This has been a long journey with Anne and her family and I hope they will be okay. I am angry and hope the SS will pay for what they've done, and the Allied powers make this misery end.
