Fox leaves Magpie in the desert
Magpie, with her burnt wing, is feeling down thinking about how she may not be able to fly again. Dog, with his blind eye, tries to encourage her that despite of a physical disability, life is still good.
While Dog was sleeping in the cave, Fox tried convincing Magpie to leave Dog and go with him. After multiple attempts, and Magpie's consistent refusal, Mapgie agrees and leaves Dog for Fox.
After convincing Magpie to leave Dog, Fox runs with Magpie on his back and leaves him in the desert. He leaves Magpie in the desert because he wants Dog and Magpie to feel what loneliness feels like.
