  • I picked a scene where the family is gathered together. This could've happened while Doodle still couldn't walk. There life was normal and overall optimistic. 
  • Doodle's Character Traits
  • The mood for the readers was ambitious until Doodle died, then the mood switched to mournful.  I selected this scene because it shows a drastic event that overall changed the story. 
  • Theme
  • Brothers Characteristics Brother is Static He's been wanting to kill his brother from the beginning.  He's never changed. Never changed from being that strict and selfish boy.
  • Figurative Language  
  • Doodle is Dynamic because he underwent many physical changes. He was ambitious and he learned to walk, even run. 
  • The theme of the story is 
  • An example of figurative language is "He fell over like a sack  of flour."  I also feel like the bird was figurative language. He seemed just like Doodle, then the bird died. Maybe foreshadowing.
