The colonists are overrun by the British, forced to be lead to the south, and to the Delaware river in December 1776
Washington writes a letter informing that his men are cold, some without food, some with out shoes, December 21, 1776
At the dinner, Washington says that only a handful of people remain and declares that on Christmas Eve, his men will cross the river
The men cross the Delaware River in the cold.
Washington and his men fight and win in the Battle of Trenton
The enemy leader gets fatally wounded and asks Washington to take his men.
