  • An important Mayan acheivement

  • The Mayans were located in Central America. Their civilization lasted 1,200 years.
  • A third important Mayan achievement
  • They were great astronomers and created a 365 day calendar. 
  • How did the Mayan civilization end? Theories
  • Their art is known for being sophisticated and having variety.
  • How did the Mayan civilization come to an end?
  • They created extremely strait roads and cross ways that made traveling easier and safer.
  • There are four theories that are thought to have ended the Mayan civilization. The first is Warfare, the second is Disease, the third is Famine and the last theory is Environmental Changes. A reason that didn't end their civilization is because of fall in population. This is because its shows that they had a peak in the 6th century and grew thousands of people.
  • I believe that Famine ended the Mayan civilization because it is the most probable cause of their fall.
