Storyboard Text

  • This year I will win a match!
  • What could I do to improve the way I play, so that I can be a champion?
  • That was totally in, and so were the last three!
  • OUT!
  • William's favorite sport is tennis, but he has not won a single match all season. So, he was trying to think of ways to improve himself, but nothing seemed to be working.
  • should I have cheated?
  • It's okay. What you did was so wrong and hurt my feelings, but I appreciate you being honest, it makes me feel a little better.
  • It was the morning of his last game, and he was so nervous. He knew that tonight would be the night that he wins for the first time... no matter how it is done.
  • I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel this way.. I was being selfish and wanted to win.
  • The only thing William could think of to get him the win, was to call every one of her plays out. He didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a shot.
  • The match is over, and by calling all of his opponent's balls out, he had won. But for some reason, William was not feeling as happy as he thought he would be. Instead, he was feeling guilty for cheating.
  • William knows that the right thing to do is to apologize to his opponent, and tell her the truth of what he did and how he cheated. Then she forgave him and thanked him for being honest. William feels so much better.
  • On the bus ride home, William's coach explains to him that what he did was wrong, and that you don't always have to win, and cheating is never the answer. Now, William has learned his lesson and will play fair from now on.
