  • First you bring one arm above your head, then you push it into the water. Then you do the same with the other. All while kicking your legs.
  • Timing Laps
  • To dive, you first put your feet near the water. Then you squat then and move your feet forward, but not having them move off. Then you lean over and push your legs.
  • Clean Up
  • Hold your breath. This skill is good to have. Ultimately you go slower when you stick your head up to take a breath.
  • Ask a friend or family member to time how long it takes for you to do a lap. This will help show your progress.
  • Always make sure to clean yourself. Most pools have chlorine which makes you smell like it.
