Multiplying and dividing fractions
This storyboard does not have a description.
Well, lets go through it again. Multiplication first.
I still don't understand how to multiply and divide fractions.
When you multiply fractions, you multiply numerator to numerator, denominator to denominator. For example, when you multiply 1/5 x 2/4 the answer would be 1x2/5x4, which is 2/20, or 1/10
I get multiplication. Now division!!!!
When you divide fractions, you switch the second fraction and make it a reciprocal. Then you multiply the new fraction with the old fraction to get the answer. For example, when dividing 1/2 and 2/3, you would make 2/3 3/2 and the multiply 3/2 to 1/2 which is 3/4.
