  • Cause of the American Revolution: Boston Tea Party
  • The British had been ruling the settlers for a long time. They kept making rules that would give them a lot of profit, but they just kept hurting the natives.
  • Yes, sir, that's a great idea. Let's start with tea.
  • I have a brilliant Idea! If we start putting taxes on the American's basic items, think how much we will profit!
  • This made the settlers very angry. They knew if this continued, the British would impose taxes on many more everyday items.
  • This is not fair! We take tea every day, and if this will continue, who knows what else they will put a tax on!
  •  The British parliament has said that from now on, you must pay taxes for tea.
  • Oh NO!
  • We will get poor in no time! We have to do something.
  • All the natives gathered together and started making a plan to make the English pay.
  • Everyone listen up. We need to teach the British a lesson. Tonight we shall raid their ship and destroy all the tea they are carrying.! Who will volunteer?
  • Thus, one night in 1773 they disguised themselves as Red Indians and raided a ship carrying crates of tea, and threw all of it into the sea, which ruined the tea.
  • This is the way the Americans started fighting for their freedom.
  • The End
